Type 9 · Peacemaker
Instinctive (body) center — anger
Calms any room. Disappears from themselves so that nothing breaks.
Core fear
rupture, separation, conflict
Core desire
inner peace, stability
Passion
inertia — forgetting themselves to keep the harmony
Avoidance
friction and self-assertion
Light
A presence that soothes, listening without judgment, a gift for seeing every side.
Shadow
Yields until they vanish. Their own agenda is forever postponed.
Arrows (the model’s theory)
In growth it tends toward type 3; under stress, it slides into patterns of type 6. That’s what the model predicts — not a measurement of you.
In full
The Peacemaker has a gift: they make spaces livable. They see merit on every side, lower the temperature of the room, and sustain the harmony others consume.
The price is self-forgetting: saying what they want might cause friction, so their own will gets postponed, diluted, forgotten. The inertia isn’t laziness — it is anesthesia for their own agenda.
At their best, they discover that full presence doesn’t break bonds — asserting themselves is also a way of loving. Under pressure, anxiety floods in and peace turns into hypervigilance.
